    Thanks Vivienne.

    It's a very common mistake (which I have made!) to treat use cases as an opportunity to describe the system as a series of functions and to break those down into smaller parts.

    Some of the biggest advantages of use cases are lost when this happens.

    An interesting read with good examples. As a "beginner" with use cases I would have had a use case for search for products had I not read this, which just goes to show how much I still need to learn! I think it's a great starter to get someone going with use cases and thinking about what should be included in them – and for whom!
